This is one I remember playing quite regularly on my parent’s desktop computer, back when dial-up was a thing. ![]() It was the adrenaline of clicking on tiles, desperately hoping that it wasn’t one that had a bomb underneath it. There was also a game called Minesweeper that I was obsessed with. It was a game that came with every desktop computer growing up, so I was very familiar with how to play it. Solitare was definitely a favourite of mine growing up as a newcomer to the online world. So as I’m reaching my 29th birthday this year and creeping ever so closely to the big 3-0, I thought I’d get a hit of nostalgia and play some classic online games on Solitare. Why? Well, there’s something nostalgic about playing online games, particularly those that are fairly basic in comparison to what’s out there now. Whilst there are so many incredible console games, the allure of traditional online games is still one that users of the internet should still play. As someone who has grown up with the internet, it’s incredible to be part of a generation that’s watched it grow into something that none of us would have ever expected it to. ![]()
